Van Wert Area Economic Development Corporation
The Van Wert Area Economic Development Corporation’s (VWAEDC) mission is to promote + retain existing businesses and to design + implement solutions that drive investment + facilitate job creation throughout Van Wert County, OH.
VWAEDC began operating in 2017 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization through a combined effort of city + county officials who believed in the strength of a central economic development agency. The result has been a collaboration among community leadership groups and a strong relationship with educators + businesses.
VWAEDC is governed by a board of directors appointed by our organization’s public membership holders. The board of directors meets monthly on the third Monday of each month.
This collaboration leads to the oversight and administration of several county-related programs + initiatives.
