Building Stronger Communities with State-Funded Grant Programs
Community Development Block Grants and Community Housing Improvement Program Grants are handed down by the Ohio Department of Development. These are not guaranteed grants and come to our department through the State. The grant cycles are 2-year grant cycles.
Some of the grants include:
- Brownfield Remediation Grants – used to assess and remediate contaminants.
- Demolition Grants – used to demolish blighted properties.
- Allocation, Neighborhood Revitalization, and Critical Infrastructure Grants – used to help the surrounding towns and villages with maintaining structural integrity.

CHIP
The CHIP grant is used to assist low to moderate income residents with home repairs. If you are interested in applying for assistance, please fill out the application below. Please note, the funding is first come first served , there is a waiting list, and our funding is not guaranteed by the State.
