The Van Wert County Land Reutilization Corporation or Land Bank is a public, non-profit organization under the Van Wert Area Economic Development.
We partner with our communities to turn empty properties into something our communities can be proud of. We transform those properties into green, healthy, occupied, and tax-paying ones. The Land Bank strengthens neighborhoods and preserves property values by strategically returning vacant, abandoned, and tax-delinquent properties to productive use through an open and equitable process.
With the help of State CDBG funding, we have the ability to enhance our neighborhoods by cleaning up any environmental hazards, making vacant properties safe. When properties are too far gone for rehabilitation, we have the funding to demo them and turn the property back to green space where future homes/businesses can be constructed.
