Van Wert Area Economic Development supports local businesses through the Revolving Loan Fund
The revolving loan program is funded through the State. It is designed to help businesses with financial assistance with interest rates well below the current bank interest rates. The loan is typically used as gap funding for materials and machinery.
There are 3 types of financing.
- The Micro-enterprises loan
- The Revolving Loan
- The Economic Development Loan

Jobs increased by 1,047 or 9.6 percent in Van Wert County over the last five years, beating the national growth rate. Continued growth is forecasted for the next five years.
